'Seafood-Halal-Chinese-Thai food' has been in perfect harmony like "ying" and "yang" for almost 30 years now at muhibbah seafood restaurant in Sungai Penchala. A unique, unpretentious and simple (nothing fancy) family style casual sit down restaurant in these parts of Kuala Lumpur that serves not only great Chinese dishes, but also some Halal hybrid Chinese and Thai inspired dishes. - Well known for its scrumptious deep fried sotong (deep fried crunchy squid) served with a sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Muhibbah is almost like an icon the these parts of Kuala Lumpur, everyone in TTDI knows muhibbah like the back of their hand. Since its so well known, its advisable getting there as early as possible for dinner time (6.30 pm when they open) to avoid large crowds (hence avoid waiting for tables) and get easy parking. Lunch is an easier bet than dinner at muhibbah, since it doesn't get as busy. Parking can be an issue, as they are located in a housing area, therefore get there early or be prepare to park far down the street. Upside- parking is free, service is fast & friendly( for Malaysian standard), and food is moderately priced. Please be warned though, there is no air conditioning here, its an open air restaurant concept - might be a pain on an extremely humid day. Notable items to order: the deep fried sotong (crunchy deep fried squid) RM 15 small, chili cockles RM 12 small, sweet and sour chicken RM 16, Stir fried bitter gourd RM 12 small and pucuk paku- thai style small RM 11. This restaurant offers 3 various sizes, with small perfect for group of 3-4, medium 5-6, and large 6-10 people. My personal favorite is the deep fried sotong, a perfect crunchy lightly battered pieces of squid steak, that is tender yet perfectly crunchy and seasoned to perfection, and its mandatory to dip these perfectly deep fried squid in the sour-sweet-spicy sauce. The pucuk paku is also worth mentioning, as it has a perfect balance of blanched fern shoots, served with a zesty, creamy and spicy sauce. Finally my personal favorite is the sweet and sour chicken or the lemon chicken- a lightly battered deep fried chicken coated in a tangy or sweet sauce- almost similar to orange chicken in the united states. The drinks is like heaven with every sip, for only RM4, I could savor a glass of freshly squeezed orange, watermelon, carrot milk, or even apple juice. They also offer fresh barley drink or a nice iced jasmine tea. Its that timeless place that keep me and many other local coming back for their simple unpretentious inexpensive food selection. Accept cash and credit card payments. PS: they do take reservations and also a perfect place for huge functions. They also offer take-out, call ahead and just pick up order in 15-20 minutes.

In the world of Halal Chinese and Thai food, this is the place for your seafood cravings, and for all you foodies to go. One of their more famous dishes is their steamed fish, where the light soy sauce really compliments the white pomfret, and creates a flavor that is unparalleled and can be enjoyed by all races. They also have other things other than seafood like poultry, mainly, but it is the seafood that makes the place full of people all the time. I mean, would you take a look at that lean, mean plate of fried squid! Other than that, there isn't much to say, except the fact that everything here tastes extremely good. If you have a family full of foodies, chances are you are already feasting on their butter prawns by now. Mm mm.

Back then, most Chinese New Year, we would have our reunion dinner here. The upside of this restaurant is that its halal. It serves not just chinese food but other varieties like thai food. Since they shifted to their new place, its bigger and much more spacious. Though its spacious, some nights I heard from my friends, it could be a full house in there! My personal favourite is the fried squid especially of they use the flour. I never fail to order that everytime I visit that place. It is really crunchy and delicious. I would give it a 8/10 because I keep coming back for more! Then, there were other dishes like this particular chicken cooked chili kering! Spicy and really good! Other dishes I would recommend if you guys drop bybwould be the butter prawns, fried chicken rice and kailan ikan masin!

Every family has a favorite restaurant they go to. Well...this is my family's favorite restaurant. It's a Chinese muslim restaurant at Sungai Penchala. There's only one Muhibbah I've ever known of and it's this one. The food they sell is top notch and delicious beyond compare. Simple, yet so tasty - creative, yet humble. I am not kidding or exaggerating but when every my family eats here ( there's 8 of us including my brother in law), we will order the amazing famous 'Thai clear sauce steam fish', 'Honey chicken' ,Prawns, Vegetables and sometimes dessert, even... and 9 out of 10 times when we've eaten here, our bill never goes above RM200. Now this place is priceless - not just that they're cheap! The food is AMAZING.

Halal Chinese and Thai food! Located next to the Penchala Link exit to Taman Tun. Muhibbah Restaurant has been the neighbourhood favourite for years! They've recently relocated from their previous shop lot in Lorong Rahim Kajai to this white-house on top of the hill! Their new location is extremely spacious and very comfortable. Ideal for big groups! Their menu comprises of Chinese & Thai inspired dishes, sure to make anyone's mouth water. I'd recommend ordering: - Fried Squid - Sang Kong Tofu - Thai style chicken - Sweet and sour prawns with udang sayur kopek - Ikan miang
